I like my lxd containers over podman and distrobox, but on a desktop system i'd uninstall snap without a doubt.
I was using snap version of joplin, it's a pretty handy tool for making synchronised notes. One problem i faced with the terminal application was that only a handful of editors like nano and textadept worked, but without any umlaut characters, so no utf-8. I tried again with npm and it worked way better! I can use any editor i want for markdown notes, here's a good editor for markdown stuff https://github.com/xyproto/orbiton.
I've had problems with steam snap package not supporting controllers. No problems with firefox so far. Almost certainly there will be trouble when using snaps, just say no.
